Dr. Gaefke completed her B.S degree with a major in Physiology and minor in Psychology at the University of Arizona, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She obtained her M.D. degree from The University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson and then completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Arizona College of Medicine. Following her residency training, Dr. Gaefke completed her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology at the University of South Florida.
Dr. Gaefke has authored publications in the field and participated in clinical research. During her fellowship training at the University of South Florida, she was a sub-investigator in several clinical trials, with an emphasis on atopic dermatitis, and oral immunotherapy for children with peanut allergy. She is passionate about all aspects of allergy, asthma, and immunology.
Dr. Gaefke enjoys spending time with her family, going on hikes with her dog, boat trips, ballroom dancing, and visiting animal sanctuaries and gardens. She is fluent in Spanish.
